This is your sweet spot for homes with multiple connected devices where everyone's doing their own thing - kids learning online, parents on video calls, and someone streaming in the background. Handles multiple people working, playing, and streaming from home.

Our fastest plan for larger households, serious gamers, and multi-screen streamers. If you've got pro gamers in the house, multiple 4K streams going at once, or just a lot of people online doing bandwidth-heavy stuff, this is your plan.

WHAT DO DOWNLOAD AND UPLOAD SPEEDS MEAN?

Your download speed is measured by how fast information reaches your device via the internet, like streaming a show or downloading a file.

Your upload speed is measured by how fast information sent from your device reaches another destination via the internet, like uploading images or videos.

Broadband speeds can vary due to many reasons. These are the speeds that are estimated to be the national average during busy times.
(Think evenings when everyone is streaming on the couch). You may experience higher or lower speeds than this.

WHAT CAN IMPACT MY SPEED?

There are many things that can affect your broadband speed. Here are some things to consider:

Your router

If you are using a router supplied by Mercury, this router is capable of providing the busy time speeds, subject to the factors described below. If you are using a router not supplied by Mercury you may not receive the stated speeds.

Wireless signal

Check the distance you are from your router or if something is blocking it’s signal. Examples of things that can block your signal are brick walls and some appliances like microwaves. The TV can interfere too! Try not to be tempted to tuck your router behind the TV. If you are on a fibre broadband connection, you may want to consider adding additional eeros to boost your WiFi signal.

Older devices

Older mobile phones, computers, tablets and other devices may not be compatible with the higher speeds we can now access. Check with your device manufacturer to see what maximum WiFi speeds they’ll support.

Connected devices

Lots of people at home using the internet at the same time? This might be affecting your speeds as you’ll be sharing the download/upload speeds between your devices.

Wireless broadband

The distance you are from the cell tower, network capability and the overall demand on that tower may impact your wireless broadband speeds.
