2% EASY PAY DISCOUNT

This offer is no longer available to sign up for. These Terms apply to Mercury customers who were eligible for the discount prior to 16 June 2023.


    1. The Mercury 2% Easy Pay Discount ("Easy Pay Discount") is available to existing Mercury residential electricity or electricity and gas (Dual Fuel) customers.
       
    2. The Easy Pay Discount is not available to commercial customers including those on PGG Wrightson Farming Plans and collective customers.
       
    3. To be eligible for the Easy Pay Discount, you must receive your bill by email AND pay your bill by direct debit from a bank account. If you have multiple residential accounts, you will need to sign each account up to receive the bill by email and pay by direct debit from a bank account to be eligible for the Easy Pay Discount across multiple accounts. 
       
    4. If you receive your bill by email and pay your bill by direct debit from a bank account, we will automatically apply a 2% discount against your electricity and gas rates, which will appear as a separate line on your Mercury bill.  To be clear, this 2% discount will be applied to your daily fixed and variable electricity and gas (if applicable) charges, the EA levy and any Free Power Day credits, before any other discounts (if applicable) and GST.  It will not be applied against any broadband charges if you are also a Mercury Broadband customer. 
       
    5. Your Easy Pay Discount will be applied on your first bill that you become eligible to earn the Easy Pay Discount on after 3 October 2022 (unless your direct debit authority is loaded within 3 days of your next bill date, in which case, it will apply to your next bill).

    6. Your direct debit must be set up to deduct from a bank account – if you set up a recurring payment from a credit or debit card, you will not be eligible for the Easy Pay Discount. 

    7. Unless we tell you otherwise, you cannot combine the Easy Pay Discount with any other additional discount offer or plan.
       
    8. Mercury may amend the terms of the Easy Pay Discount at any time.
       
    9. You must remain opted in to receive your bill by email and pay by direct debit from a bank account in order to receive the Easy Pay Discount.  Should you opt out or be removed from either service, you will no longer receive the Easy Pay Discount.
       
    10. All other Mercury Terms apply.
       
    11. Any reference to ‘bill by email’ in these Terms and Conditions is a reference to your online bill accessed from your monthly summary statement email.
